The Fernie Pickleball Foundation is a team of volunteers who are are facilitating the development of a Pickleball facility in Fernie, B.C. We aim to provide the Fernie community a space for all ages and skill levels to enjoy this growing and popular sport.

Our strength lies in our individuality and of our mutual love of Pickleball. Meet our dedicated volunteers below.

Evonne Whelan

Evonne has a long history of playing competitive Badminton at National and International levels. She has also served on the Board of a large sports club in Calgary. An avid skier, biker, badminton and tennis player, she now splits her court time with Pickleball.

Phil Mittertreiner

Phil is a Pickleball enthusiast working for an Investment Management firm. When not working, Phil can be found skiing, mountain biking or playing Pickleball. He also finds time to volunteer for several community organizations.

Greg Lundmark

Recently retired from a successful career in Recreational and Sports Club Management. Aspiring Pickleball player and outdoor enthusiast.

Ken Martel

Retired Electrical Engineer and President of Cybertech Automation. Currently putting my time and energy into skiing, hiking, windsurfing, traveling and Pickleball.

Signy Pittman

Signy is recently retired from Emergency and Investigative Services. She is currently enjoying skiing, hiking, biking, golfing and Pickleball in beautiful Fernie
